The good morning is a simple exercise used in our warm-up to help warm-up the lower back and stretch the hamstrings and posterior chain. In the warm-up, we do unweighted good mornings to focus on range of motion while keeping the back in extension.
Requirements for the good morning: Stand up fully at the top (full extension of the hips); bend at the waist as far as you are able while keeping your back flat (in extension).
