FAQs
Where will the workouts be held? At CrossFit Rockwall
When will the workouts be held? Between 10am and Noon each Saturday from February 25 through March 24
I cannot attend one of the weekends. What can I do? For Level 1 & 2 participants, your ranking will be based on your top 4 workouts. So, if you have to miss one, you will not be penalized. If you are competing in the worldwide Open, you will need to arrange with a judge to make-up the workout. However, availability to make-up missed workouts will be limited.
What are the workouts?
Each week, the workout will be announced on Wednesday evening on the Games site. We will update this page with the most current workout each week.
How should I prepare?
We recommend sticking to your regular schedule Monday-Wednesday each week. Just be careful not to do any movements or weights that may make you very sore as it gets closer to the end of the week. If you usually work out on Thursday, take a half-intensity or a light day. On Friday, take the day off working out, but still focus on recovery: stretch, foam roll, etc! You can also stop by the box each Friday to have a coach help you review the movements in the workout.
What should I bring to the competition?
- Bring you workout gear - whatever you prefer to wear, including some layers in case it's a little chilly.
- Bring shoes that you do your usual WODs in, as well as lifting shoes if you have them. You can also decide what shoes to bring once you see the workouts each week!
- Bring a water bottle. We have a drinking fountain, and will have some water available, but it's best to have your own bottle.
- Bring any recovery tools you like. We'll have a few foam rollers and lacrosse balls available, but if there's something specific you use, bring it.
Competition Tip: Don't change anything on game day! Stick with your standard breakfast, do your regular warm-up, and stay in your routine as much as possible. The day of a competition is not a good time to try out anything new!
